Vagus Nerve Stimulator (VNS) Clinic

Dr. Barry Hendin and Dr. Todd Levine are in charge of the VNS clinic at Phoenix Neurological Associates. Through the VNS Clinic, they are responsible for treating adults with medically intractable seizures who have undergone VNS implantation. Through the VNS Clinic, patients undergo rigorous evaluation to ensure that their seizures are being properly controlled through VNS and AED treatment. Following implantation, the patient is followed regularly in the VNS Clinic for optimizing seizure control by manipulating device settings, and when possible, weaning medications. VNS clinic days are usually every 3 months. Nicole Hank is the clinic's VNS specialist and may be contacted with questions.
