Other Diseases We TreatAt Phoenix Neurological Associates, all five of our neurologists are board certified by the American Academy of Psychiatry and Neurology. We treat all types of neurologic diseases both in our outpatient offices and in the hopsital at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center. For stroke patients we were one of the first comprehensive stroke centers in Phoenix. We have also developed an outpatient stroke clinic at the Good Samaritan Rehabilatation Center. This clinic ensures that patients who have experienced a stroke received all of the diagnostic tests necessary and that they are on the appropriate preventative medications to help prevent further strokes. We have also participated in numerous stroke research trials for over 15 years. We treat patients with all types of dementias, including Alzheimers and Fronto-Temporal Dementia. We are proud to collaborate with Dr. Eric Reiman, who is a National leading researcher in Alzheimers disease. We are experienced in prescribing medications to help slow down the progression of the disease. We have participated in a number of research trials to try and develop new strategies to treat this horrible disease. At Phoenix Neurological Associates we are also very experienced in treating patients with all types of Epilepsies. We have the capacity to do inpatient EEG monitoring at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center. We also are the directors of the neurophysiology laboratory at Good Samaritan which can perform outpatient EEG testing as well as long term ambulatory EEG monitoring. Our neurologists are also experienced in using all of the currently available anticonvulsant drugs to help treat seizures. For patients with movement disroders, including but not limited to essential tremor, Parkinson's disease, and dystonias, we have over 25 years experience in treating these diseases. We use all currently available drugs, including Botulinum Toxin to treat these diseases. We also have a long history of performing research trials in movement disorders. |
